11 SLA Troops in 543 Brigade with Sponsorship Build House for Needy Family

A new house built for a needy family in Urumalai, Talaimannar by 11 Sri Lanka Artillery Regiment troops with sponsorship, provided by a Medical Officer Dr Bhagya Weerawardana was vested in the family on Wednesday (3) during a simple ceremony.

The new home, built for Mrs S. Vineetha and her children in Urumalai, Talaimannar under the guidance of the Commander, Security Forces-Wanni Major General Hemantha Bandara and the General Officer Commanding, 54 Division, Major General Indrajith Bandara was sponsored by Dr Bhagya Weerawardana of Talaimannar Base Hospital.

Commander 543 Brigade, Brigadier Imal Assalaratchchi, Regional Director of Health Services of Mannar District Dr S. Vinodan and the donor, Dr Bhagya Weerawardana as distinguished guests attended the warming ceremony where Hindu rites and rituals were performed before keys were handed over to the beneficiary. The community project coincided with the 23rd anniversary celebrations of the Security Force Headquarters-Wanni.

The construction was done by the troops of the 11 Sri Lanka Artillery (SLA) under the supervision of the Commanding Officer Lt Colonel Viraj Abeysinghe. The inaugural warming ceremony was attended by Officers and Other Ranks of the 54 Division, 543 Brigade and 11 SLA. jordan Sneakers | シューズ
