68 Division troops of the Security Force Headquarters - Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT) on the directions of Major General Jagath Rathnayake, Commander, Security Forces - MLT and the General Officer Commanding, 68 Division on Thursday (28) carried out a disinfection and sterilization programme in the general public places in order to mitigate risks of contamination and transmission of the COVID-19 epidemic.
The project mainly covered Puthukudiruppu areas with large concentrations of people. 682 Brigade troops and 6 Sri Lanka National Guard carried out the disinfection project with the support of members of the PHI in the area.
