48, 382 including the Dead Confirmed Positive-NOCPCO

As of this morning (11), a total of 543 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Among them, were 7 Sri Lankan expatriates and other 536 are locally-identified ones, including the majority 217 from Colombo district, 85 from Gampaha district, 40 from Ratnapura and other 194 are from different districts, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By 6.00 this morning (11), the total number of COVID-19 positive cases reported from Minuwangoda garment factory employees and Peliyagoda Fish Market cluster stands at 44,596. Meanwhile, 38,567 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients from the fish market (35,508) and Minuwangoda (3,059) clusters have been discharged from hospitals.

By this morning (11), a total of 48,382 persons have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. 41,324 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients have been so far discharged from hospitals and the rest 6,826 are still under treatment in hospitals and care centres.

By this morning (11), 487 recovered patients have left hospitals and care centres in the past 24 hours. 03 more deaths have been reported from Negambo prison, Ratnapura and Colombo 14 areas in the past 24 hours. Accordingly, the COVID-19 death toll in the country rose to 232 by this morning (11).

By this morning (11), the flight UL 1264 from Saudi Arabia with 100 passengers, the flight QR 668 from Qatar with 81 passengers and the flight UL 208 from the UAE with 290 passengers have arrived.

The flight UL 102 from the Maldives with 36 passengers, the flight UL 184 from Pakistan with 2 passengers, the flight TK 730 from Turkey with 2 passengers, the flight UL 186 from Pakistan with 4 passengers and the flight UL 554 from Germany with some passengers are expected to arrive here within the day. They all were/were to be referred to Quarantine Centers (QCs), managed by tri-services upon their arrival after formalities at the airport.

As of this morning (11), 5,961 persons in 73 tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine. Within yesterday (10), 16,206 PCR tests have been conducted. bridgemedia | Sneakers
