36,666 Confirmed Positive Ones Found in the Country - NOCPCO

As of this morning (20), a total of 618 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. All of them are locally-identified ones, including the majority 241 from Colombo, 99 from Gampaha district, 120 from Kalutara District and other 158 are from different districts, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By 6.00 this morning (20), the total number of COVID-19 positive cases reported from Minuwangoda garment factory employees and Peliyagoda Fish Market cluster stands at 32,994. Meanwhile, 24,144 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients from both Minuwangoda (3,059) and fish market (29,935) clusters have been discharged from hospitals.

Up to yesterday (19), a total of 36,666 persons have been confirmed COVID-19 positive from all over the country, including the dead. 27,551 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients have been so far discharged from hospitals and the rest 8,944 are still under treatment in hospitals and care centres.

By this morning (20), 491 recovered patients have left hospitals and care centres within last 24 hours. In the past 24 hours 06 deaths have been reported from Colombo 10, Colombo 14, Colombo 15, Kiriwaththuduwa, Bandaragama and Weerangula areas. Accordingly, the death toll from the country rose up to 171 as of this morning (20).

By this morning (20), the flight QR 668 from Qatar with 31 passengers, the flight UL 455 from Japan with 83 passengers and the flight UL 226 from the UAE with 72 passengers have arrived. The flight EK 650 from the UAE with 72 passengers, UL 1208 from Italy with 12 passengers, the flight TK 730 from Turkey with 10 passengers, the flight UL 303 from Singapore with 58 passengers and the flight SQ 468 from Singapore with 12 passengers are expected to arrive here. They all were/were to be referred to Quarantine Centers (QCs), managed by tri-services upon their arrival after formalities at the airport.

As of this morning (20), 7,316 persons in 79 tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine. Within yesterday (19), 15,961 PCR tests were conducted. Mysneakers | Mens Flynit Trainers
