The 66 Division Headquarters under the Security Force HQ-Kilinochchi celebrated its 11th anniversary under the direction of the General Officer Commanding, Major General Jagath Kodithuwakku on 10 December 2020.
During humanitarian operations, after the 58 Division captured the strategically important township of Pooneryn on 15 November 2008, the 66 Division HQ was raised on 09 November 2009 as Task Force 6 and again it was redesignated as 66 Infantry Division on 10 December 2009 after the warfare.
The GOC planted a sapling in the premises to mark the memorable occasion and addressed All Ranks.
