Artillery Regimental HQ Salutes Newly-Promoted Senior Officers

The Regimental HQ of Sri Lanka Artillery presented military honours and warm greetings to two newly promoted Senior Officers, Major General Sumith Premalal and Major General Tikiri Dissanayake during a formal ceremony held on 14 December 2020 at the Regimental Headquarters at Panagoda.

Featuring the traditional event, they at first reviewed the Guard Turnout presented by the Regimental Headquarters and accepted the regimental salute accorded by a subsequent Guard of Honour, presented by the Regiment. After that, newly promoted Major Generals called on Major General Sampath Kotuwegoda, Colonel Commandant of the Regiment of Artillery at his office and received his best wishes on behalf of All Officers and Other Ranks of the Regiment.

All officers present there afterwards posed for a photograph with new Major Generals and the day's proceedings culminated with an all rank lunch at 6th Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery.

Both Major Generals extended their sincere gratitude to all past and present officers and other ranks of the Regiment for paving way for their today's success which was filled with many moments of experiences and happiness.
