Major General Jayashantha Gamage, Colonel of the Regiment, Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) and Military Secretary made formal visits to the 2 and 14 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) Battalions on Friday (11) and 6, 9, 13 SLNG Battalions on Saturday (12).
During these visits, respective Commanding Officers warmly welcomed the visiting Colonel of the Regiment in accordance with military traditions before briefings were presented. Guard Turnouts saluted him at respective camps and he joined sapling planting too afterwards.
Thereafter, the visiting Colonel of the Regiment addressed the troops and instructed them to lead their career with best of discipline and professionalism.
