As of this morning (14), a total of 655 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. 05 of them are Sri Lankan expatriates. Of those persons, 650 are locally-identified ones, including the majority 444 from Colombo, 75 from Gampaha district and 41 from Ampara district and others are from different districts, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).
By 6.00 this morning (14), the total number of COVID-19 positive cases reported from Minuwangoda garment factory employees and Peliyagoda Fish Market cluster stands at 29,148. Meanwhile, 20,385 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients from both Minuwangoda (3,059) and fish market (26,089) clusters have been discharged from hospitals.
Up to yesterday (13), a total of 32,789 persons have been confirmed COVID-19 positive from all over the country, including the dead. 23,792 fully-recovered COVID-19 patients have been so far discharged from hospitals and the rest 8,845 are still under treatment in hospitals and care centres.
By this morning (14), 489 recovered patients within last 24 hours have left hospitals and care centres. To-date, 152 COVID-19 positive deaths have been so far reported. Three more COVID-19 deaths reported in the past 24 hours were from Colombo, Wattala and Malabe areas.
By this morning (14), the flight QR 668 from Qatar with 42 passengers and the flight UL184 from Pakistan with 6 passengers, the flight UL 102 from the Maldives with 7 passengers and the flight UL 897 with 47 passengers from China are expected to arrive here.
They all were to be referred to Quarantine Centres (QCs), managed by tri-services upon their arrival after formalities at the airport.
