A donation of dry ration packs among 100 underprivileged families in Parakramapura, Padaviya, Bisokotuwa, Bellankadawala, Grevelkanda and Weherathenna Divisional Secretariat areas in Mullaittivu District, following sponsorship, extended by Ven. Halmillewe Wanarathana Thero got underway on Sunday (12).
To be in line with the guidelines given by Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army, 621 Brigade troops on the directions of the General Officer Commanding, 62 Division, Major General J.M.U Dhammika Jayasinghe, Commander, 621 Brigade, Brigadier A.P Wickramasekara, together with the 62 Division and 621 Brigade Civil Affairs Officers and 17 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) troops organized the distribution.
Each relief pack included rice (3kg), Watana Dhal (500gr), Sugar (1kg), Cream Cracker biscuits - 100g (1 packet), Tea (50g), Chilli powder (100g), Salt 1kg (1 packet), Siddhalepa 01, Panadol - 06, Soya Meat - 100g (1 packet), Pepper (50g), Flour (1 kg), Sprats (100g), B onion (500g), Condiments (50g), Marie biscuits - 1 packet, etc.
