6 Sri Lanka Army Ordinance Corps (SLAOC) troops serving under the Security Force Headquarters - Kilionochchi (SFHQ-KLN) provided assistance for conduct of the annual ‘ Maha Shiva Raththri Pooja at Thirumurukkandi Kovil, Kilinochchi on Monday (16).
In the meantime, same troops conducted a Shramadana campaign to clear the surroundings of the Kovil premises together with devotees in the area, prior to the event.
These troops distributed 25 stationery packs, each worth of Rs 450/=, among school children who are living in and among the kovil area.
Commanding Officer, officers and other ranks of the 6 SLAOC and a large gathering of residents in the area attended the Kovil Pooja.
