Troops serving the Security Force Headquarters – Mullattivu (SFHQ - MLT) assisted the conduct of a medical clinic to educate kidney patients on preventure and mediacation at the Sri Subramanium College in Puthukuduirippu with the assistance of ‘Manusath Derena ‘ Media Institute on Saturday(31).
In the meantime, 150 packs of nutritious food were also distributed among pregnant mothers who took part during the medical clinic.
These 2 events were coordinated by the General Officer Commanding of the 68 Division on the directions of the Major General, Jagath Dias, Commander of the SFHQ – MLT.
The free clinic was attended by more than 1640 civilians, expecting medical consultations. 7 Medical specialists, 14 nurses of the Mullattivu Health Service Center also assisted the conduct of the Medical Camp.
District Scretary for Mullattivu Mr. N Vedanayagam, Mr M. Jayawardena and 35 reprsentatives of the ‘Manusath Derena ‘Institute participated in the programme.
