With the financial assistance, given by Dr Chandana Gunawardana, along with Ven. Sri Saranankara Nayaka Maha Thero of Senthul, Malaysia, troops of the 56 Division of the Security Force Headquarters-Wanni (SFHQ-W), organized the distribution of essential school accessories, books and stationeries among 655 needy students at Bogaswewa School on Thursday (22).
In response to a request, made by Brigadier D.A.R Ranawaka, General Officer Commanding, 56 Division, the donation was made by above philanthropists. Each pack contains all essential stationeries to the value of Rs. 2500.00.
Major General Boniface Perera, Commander, SFHQ-W graced the distribution ceremony as the chief guest, together with Dr. Jeewaka Bandara, Brigadier H.P Seneviratne, Brigadier General Staff, SFHQ-W, Colonel D.P.U Gunasekara, Brigade Commander, 563 Brigade, Commanding Officers of Battalions under the 56 Division, Principal and the staff at Bogaswewa School and the parents.
