On the direction of Major General Boniface Perera, Commander, Security Force Headquarters Wanni (SFHQ-W), Colonel I.H.M.N.N Herath, Brigade Commander, 621 Brigade coordinated the donation of a water filter to Hemamali Maha Vidyalaya, Wahalkada much-needed drinking water requirement of the school students, to provide Association of Solidarity France - Sri Lanka made the donation.
The water filter was handed over to the school principal in a brief ceremony at the school premises.
Colonel I.H.M.N.N Herath, Lieutenant Colonel B.K.V.K.P Rodrigo, Commanding Officer (CO), 17 Sri Lanka National Guards (SLNG), officers and other ranks serving in the area and a gathering of school students were present at the occasion.
