The year’s most attractive military spectacle, ‘Army Searchlight Tattoo - 2014’ is to be held from April 25 - 27, 2014 at Kurunegala Welagedara Grounds, said Major General Mahinda Hathurusinghe, Adjutant General during a media briefing at the Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (SLEME) conference hall on Thursday (17).
The Army Searchlight Tattoo will remain open to the public starting at 2.00 p.m. on all three days until Sunday (27) evening.
Holding of the Tattoo at provincial Kurunegala coincides with the government’s policy of taking major public events for display, away from Colombo since such shifting benefits local denizens as well as development projects in respective regions.
