A senior Chinese military delegation, comprised of Chairman of China’s University of Science & Technology, currently in Sri Lanka, paid a courtesy call on the Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake Friday (8) evening at Army Headquarters.
The 8-member delegation, led by Major General Zhao Daming, Commandant of Ordnance Engineering College included Major General Zhang Long, Vice Chancellor of the University of Science & Technology, Major General Song Haiying Commissar of the University of Logistic Engineering, Major General Chen Jinghua, Commissar of the Second Military Medical University, Senior Captain Guo Xizhong, Minister of the Naval Engineering University, Senior Colonel Li Chenglin, Defence Attaché, Lieutenant Colonel Huang Xiaomin, Staff of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Ministry of Defence and Lieutenant Colonel Miaokai, Deputy Defence Attaché.
During their interactive meeting with the Commander, they exchanged views with matters of bilateral importance to training programmes, etc. An exchange of mementos culminated the day’s programme.
The delegation during their stay in Sri Lanka was to visit the Kotelawala Defence University and hold discussions with Training Directors of the Air Force and Sri Lanka Army.
