Three new Singer sewing machines, donated jointly by Sri Lanka Vocational Training Authority, Mr Asitha Batuwanthuduwa and Ranura Hela Saviya to the 643 Brigade Headquarters at Mullaittivu were distributed among three skilled women during a brief ceremony on Wednesday (13), held at 643 Brigade Headquarters.
All those three women, belonging to the Mullaittivu Women’s Society reside in Karipattamurippu and Manawalapattamurippu areas, affected very much due to poverty. The distribution took place in the presence of Ven Bengamuwe Nalaka Thero, Mr Gamini Keerthichandra, Chairman, Sinhala Balamandalaya UK and a few others.
