Tournament Held to Promote Goodwill &;amp; Understanding Among Wanni Troops

Security Force Headquarters-Wanni (SFHQ-W) with the intention of promoting goodwill, understanding and comradeship among all ranks serving the SFHQ-W conducted a two-day long tournament in Volleyball, Basketball and Football during March 10-11 at SFHQ-W premises.

Championships in the tournament were won by 21 Division team (Football), 56 Division team (Basketball) and 61 Division team (Volleyball). Runners-up were the Football team of the 54 Division, Basketball team of the 21 Division team and Volleyball team of the 61 Division ‘B’ team. Woman soldiers of the 2 and 4 Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps on the second day of the tournament played an exhibition match and showed their contribution to the event.             

Major General Boniface Perera, Security Force Commander-Wanni and several senior officers gave away trophies and merit awards to the winners and participants.
