SVAB Ladies Mark Int'l Women's Day with a Workshop

The Seva Vanitha Army Branch (SVAB), marking the International Women’s Day, conducted a workshop on Beauty Culture and Cookery at the Army Physical Training School gymnasium in Panagoda on Saturday (9).

Mrs Suvineeta Kotelawala, a veteran in these fields conducted different practical sessions and enlightened the attendees throughout the workshop.

In addition, a lecture on ‘Self Communication’ was delivered by Mrs Ajantha Hapuarachchi at the same occasion with a view to improving communicative techniques among the ladies for effective inter-communication and intra-communication.   

The cookery demonstration was assisted by Prima (Pvt) Ltd, one of the largest food producers in Sri Lanka, giving its assistance to the project at the invitation of the SVAB.

Mrs Manjulika Jayasuriya, President, Seva Vanitha Army Branch as the Chief Guest, attended the occasion, together with a large gathering of SVAB members.
