Auspices of the staff at Mirigama Divisional Secretariat supplied the newly-resettled Bogaswewa villagers in Vavuniya with more than 3000 coconut saplings and 1500 banana trees.
Distribution of those saplings took place on Friday (1) during a brief ceremony at the centre of the village, Bogaswewa.
Mr Y.I Manjula Silva, Divisional Secretary for Mirigama, staff members, coordinator of the project, Colonel P.L Thisera, Bogaswewa villagers and a large gathering were present at the distribution ceremony.
