8th Battalion Gemunu Watch troops in Kokadicholai under the Security Force Headquarters - East (SFHQ-E) in coordination with the Sitakhe Mushroom Company at Divulapitiya, introduced an awareness programme for cultivation of mushrooms as a self-employment project for Kokadicholai civilians on Sunday (17).
The programme, aimed at raising economic standards of the public on mushroom products as an income generating project, was attended by a large gathering of civilians. These civilians were also given seeds and other equipment, free of charge on the same occasion.
