A seven-member medical team, headed by Dr Mrs Anula Wijesundara, Success - Colombo went to remote Helambawewa village area in the Janakapura Grama Niladhari Division and conducted a mobile medical team for civilians on Saturday (9).
After examining more than 210 patients, the medical team distributed medicine and drugs, valued over Rs 30,000/= among those patients. At the end of the day’s clinic, students in the area received books to the value of Rs 10,000/= from the same visiting team.
The project coordinated by 62 Division and 622 Brigade Headquarters in Mullaittivu District received appreciation from the villagers.
General Officer Commanding, 62 Division, 622 Brigade Commander and 622 Brigade Civil Affairs Officer and community leaders supported the project.
