Security Forces Headquarters - Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT) marked the 65th National Independence Day conducting several community-oriented and commemorative projects in Puthukkuddiyirippu area.
On the instructions of Major General L.B.R Mark, Security Force Commander (Mullaittivu), troops cleaned up Wattappalai Kankiamman Kovil premises and gave away a stock of lunch packets to the poor in Puthukkuddiyirippu area.
Chief Priest at Wattappalai Kankiamman Kovil thanked the Army for its generosity and the project that cleaned the premises.
On the Independence Day (4), a senior officer on behalf of the Security Force Commander (Mullaittivu) raised the National Flag and marked the event with the participation of officers and other ranks.
