Mullaittivu areas after absence of so many years adorned festive X’mas garbs in the recent few days after the Security Forces Headquarters-Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT) with the coordination of religious and civil organizations offered all their possible assistance for conduct of religious observances on grand scale.
Midnight Mass, attended by a large gathering of Christians in Mullaittivu area was the highlight of the ceremonies, followed by conduct of X’mas Carols, Santa Claus’ distribution of gifts, erection of a huge X’mas tree, devotional song competition, etc.
These events were separately organized at Mullaittivu centre area, Alampil, 64 and 68 Division areas, 593 Brigade areas and several other peripheral formations.
Major General L.B.R Mark, Commander, SFHQ-MLT initiated the arrangements attended the Midnight Mass together with a representative gathering of senior officers.
