Students at two rural schools in Mullaitivu and Anuradhapura districts will have everything they need in the next school year, thanks to the soldiers serving the Security Forces Headquarters Wanni (SFHQ-W).
121 students of Balayawewa primary school in Padaviya, Anuradhapura and 58 students of Janakapura school in Welioya, Mullaitivu received gift parcels each worth Rs.2,500/= containing school uniforms, shoes, socks and school books recently.
The donation, coordinated by the Civil Coordinating Officer of the SFHQ-W Lieutenant Colonel J. M. L. Jayasundara, amounting to Rs.447,500/= was contributed by the philanthropists, Mr. Sherman de Silva, Technical Officer Ceylinco Group, Mr. N. Athukorala, Executive Assistant, Ceylinco Group, Dr. D. S. Rajapaksa, Chairman DSI and Medical Consultant Dr. L. M. Wijesuriya.
