Troops serving the Task Force - 3 Headquarters in Akkaraipattu built a new wash room complex to the Aligambe Tamil Mixed School and handed it over on November 11 to coincide with their 4th anniversary.
The much-needed toilet complex, built by the troops themselves, cost the Army Rs 130,000/=.
Handing over ceremony of the wash room complex took place in a brief ceremony, attended by religious heads, principals, teachers, parents, Brigadier S.H.F.P Perera, General Officer Commanding, Task Force - 3 and a section of students. Several senior officers including the civil affairs officer attended the occasion.
