Security Forces Headquarters - East (SFHQ-E) with a view to encouraging farmers to take to peanut cultivation for farmers, conducted an awareness programme at Echchalanpattu Panthaha Government School, Trincomalee.
The programme, sponsored by Snack Food Lanka (Pvt) Ltd received the support of the SFHQ-E, commanded by Major General S.A.A.L Perera.
The awareness programme on Sunday (11), attended by several dozens of Echchalanpattu farmers, distributed egg seeds among the attendees after multimedia presentations made by the sponsors.
Meanwhile, SFHQ-E organized a seminar at the Headquarters premises for officers and other ranks with the intention of educating them on Civil Coordination and Civil Affairs. More than 71 officers and 69 other ranks attended the seminar.
