With the support of the ‘Foundation of Goodness’ organization, the 64 Division Headquarters under the Security Forces Headquarters, Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT), recently, took a total of 42 prefects of Mullaittivu schools on an educational tour to the South as a measure of reconciliation and promotion of harmony.
Those forty two prefects from schools under Oddusudan AGA Division including Oddusuddan Maha Vidyalaya, Kachchilaimadu Maha Vidyalaya, Thanduwan Maha Vidyalaya, Muthiyankattu LB Maha Vidyalaya, Muthiyankattu RB Maha Vidyalaya, Karapaddimurippu Maha Vidyalaya and Kulamurippu G.T.M.S, together with their teachers, participated in the tour which covered places of interest in Colombo.
Galle Face green, Museum, Independence Square, Vihara Maha Devi Park, Colombo Harbour, Symphony Orchestra at Musaeus College, Water World, Tamil Union Cricket Club, World Market, Colombo Fort Railway Station, Majestic City Shopping Mall and the 3D Cinema Hall, Crescat Boulevard and other few more places of tourist interest, were among their stops during the tour.
The move, aimed at promoting civil military coordination, reconciliation, mutual understanding and sharing of common perceptions and formalities, was amply supported by teachers and parents of those students.
