Thirty-three ex-combatants, now fully rehabilitated under the government’s rehabilitation programme after a successful completion of the ‘Hair Dressing and Beauty Culture’ course, conducted by Dreamron Lanka (Pvt) Ltd of Kohuwala, received their graduation certificates during a ceremony at BMICH last week.
Major General Mahinda Hathurusinghe, Commander, Security Forces Headquarters, Jaffna (SFHQ-J), through whose initiatives the course was made possible, attended the certificate awarding ceremony as the Guest of Honour at the invitation of the Dreamron Lanka (Pvt) Ltd.
In addition to 33 ex-combatants, 22 other young men and women from Jaffna followed the course in the peninsula which was held for four days at the Jaffna Civil Affairs and Public Relations Office.
Managing Director, Dr. Priyanka Perera, General Manager, Mr. Chathura Nishantha Perera, Manager Mr. Deepal Nelson and a few senior officials of the Dreamron Lanka (Pvt) Ltd were present at the ceremony.
Commander, SFHQ-J extended his profuse thanks to Dreamron Lanka Pvt Ltd for their cooperation, extended to the Army for conducting this special course for the benefit of youngsters who earlier depended only on weapons, but have now joined the mainstream of civil life.
