Renovated Weerawila Holiday Bungalow Re-opened to Officers

Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya, Commander of the Army at the invitation of the 12 Division General Officer Commanding, Brigadier N. Senadheera, opened the newly renovated holiday bungalow at Weerawila 122 Brigade Headquarters premises on Thursday (01) afternoon.

The holiday bungalow, renovated completely by Engineer Service Regiment (ESR) troops at a cost of Rs. 6.1 million, is situated facing the picturesque Weerawila tank in the former Senasuma hotel complex.

The visiting Commander as the auspicious minute struck cut the ribbon and lit the traditional oil lamp after unveiling the plaque before the auspicious milk pot was boiled inside, as a token of house-warming.

Lieutenant General Jayasuriya on arrival at the venue was received by Major General S.R. Manawaduge, Commander, Security Forces Headquarters, South and other senior officers including the Deputy Chief of Staff, Adjutant General, GOC at 12 Division and 122 Brigade Commander.
