As the threat of Dengue is rising in different parts of the country, all Brigades under the 52 Division in Varani conducted Dengue awareness programmes for civilians in their areas. Shramadana campaigns to clean the mosquito breeding places were also organized by the Army with participation of civilians from 1st to 7th February.
Public Health Inspectors, teachers and students joined this seven-day anti dengue campaign organized by the Army on instruction of General Officer Commanding 52 Division Brigadier Anura Sudhasinghe.
Brigade Commanders and Civil Affairs Officers of the 521, 522 and 523 Brigades coordinated the programme.
