Inmates at Attidiya ‘Mihindu Seth Medura’ where disable War Heroes are housed were entertained to a special treat by members of the Seva Vanitha Army Branch (SVAB) on Monday (23).
Mrs Manjulika Jayasuriya, President, SVAB spoke to all the inmates and shared their concerns on various matters of relevance to them, their families and other assistance. She also found solutions to a few issues then and there in consultation with senior officers who accompanied her.
After all those inmates were treated to a tea party, musicians of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps (SLAC) band provided rhythm and melody to the occasion. Towards the end of the programme Mrs Jayasuriya gave away gift parcels to those inmates. A section of the members in the Viru Daru Society also participated in the visit to the ‘Mihindu Seth Medura’.
