Contractors and labourers, engaged in various development projects in 561 Brigade Headquarters in Kanagarayankulam under 56 Division were enlightened on mine infested areas and precautionary measures that should be taken against such hazards during a recent meeting held at Kanagarayankulam Community Hall.
73 contractors and over 50 labourers listened to the relevant lecture delivered by Corporal J.P Karunatillake, one of the senior de-miners in the Wanni area.
The project organized by the troops of 19 Gajaba Regiment (Volunteer) on the directions given by 56 Division was a success since it demonstrated practical sessions.
