On 2nd December 2011, SLAC as one of the pioneering Regiments commenced its 56th Anniversary commemorative ceremonies, giving pride of place to remembrance of fallen War Heroes and religious ceremonies, including Pirith chanting and alms giving at the SLAC Regimental Headquarters.
