One More Philanthropist Builds House for War Hero

A NEWLY-BUILT house for a War Hero who received injuries during the peak of the final battles in Wanni was donated to his family by Major General J.C Rambukpotha, Commander Security Forces, East, a few days ago during a ceremony at the location, Maha Wewa, Manampitiya.

Private   K.A. Silva of 6th Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment received this house, thanks to generosity of Mrs Deepamala Perera. The new house at Maha Wewa cost the donor Rs. 144,000 //= but fellow-soldiers of the 22nd Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment under the guidance of Major General P.P. de Silva, General Officer Commanding 22 Division contributed their labour free of charge for the entire construction which minimized the total cost drastically.

Family members of the partly disable soldier profusely thanked the SFHQ-East for its considerateness towards him and his family and appreciated the move.
