A stock of school accessories for needy school-goers at Ruhunuketha Primary School in Welikanda were distributed on Friday (16) thanks to the generosity of Mrs Hinaya Gunathilake and Mr Hareen Gunathilaka who came in contact with the 23 Division Headquarters of the Security Force Headquarters - East (SFHQ-E) for coordination of the charity.
Brigadier Chula Abeynayake, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 23 Division coordinated the programme after both donors with a few their friends pledged their willingness to help underprivileged students in the area.
The project has received the support of the Commander, Security Forces - East, Major General Santhusitha Pananwala.
