Welfare Complex Construction Work Progress Reviewed

General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence staff and Commander of the Army together with Mrs Sujeewa Nelson President army Seva Vanitha Unit on Thursday (25) took time off to review the progress of the ongoing construction of the new Welfare Shop complex at Diyatalawa.

The Army with the objective of further expanding welfare benefits to Army members has intensified improving welfare shop complexes island-wide and Diyatalawa has been prioritized considering the numbers in Diyatalawa garrison town.

They both during the inspection of work on the site exchanged views with Army engineers and constructors and offered necessary guidelines.
