Corporal D.M Somapala, a valiant War Hero of the Commando Regiment received a house Friday (Oct 22), made possible under the patronage of the MOD Seva Vanitha Unit.
The keys to Corporal Somapala's house were presented by Chairperson of the Ministry of Defence Seva Vanitha Unit Mrs. Ioma Rajapaksa, who graced the event at Wadinagala, Ampara. According to SVU sources, Army's 4th Engineering Corps has undertaken the construction work.
SVU vice-chairperson Mrs. Indu Rathnayake, Center Commandant of the Army Combat Training School at Ampara Colonel K.D.C.G.J Thilakarathne, Center Commandant Commando Regiment Training School Colonel C.H.M.C.P.K Chandrasekara, 4th Engineering Corps Commanding Officer Lt.
