One Mr Keshara Weerasinghe, a 3rd year undergraduate in the Engineering Faculty at the University of Peradeniya on Tuesday (7) delivered a set of newly-innovated 200 pieces of face visors that can be used by doctors and medical staff for safety in the treatment of COVID-19 patients as the outcome of his final research project.
Through the coordination made by Major General Senarath Bandara, General Officer Commanding, 11 Division in Kandy, the undergraduate this morning (7) met Major General Sanjeewa Munasingha, Director General Army Medical Services at the Colombo Army Hospital premises, together with Professor B.D.P Gunawardena, Dean Engineering Faculty at University of Peradeniya and handed over the 1st stock of those 200 visors.
