Troops Support Religious Ceremony

The conduct of the annual ‘Katina Pooja Pinkama’ of the Sri Sugatha Viharaya at Mankulam during 19- 20 October was fully supported by troops of the 57 Division and the 574 Brigade.

Troops took part in the colourful Katina Perahera and conduct of the alms-giving for 18 monks. This event was closely supervised by the Commander, 574 Brigade, Colonel I.A.N.B Perera on the guidelines given by Major General Vijitha Ravipriya, Commander, Security Forces - Kilinochchi and Major General B.P.S de Silva, General Officer Commanding, 57 Division.

Officers and All Ranks of the Battalions under command to the SFHQ-KLN, FMA (KLN) and 57 Division contributed their maximum strength to successfully conduct the event.
