Jaffna peninsula-based troops, interested in culinary practices began to follow a Basic Cookery Course at Thalsevana Army Resort on 20th September on an initiative directed by the Commander Security Forces-Jaffna, Major General Chandana Wijayasundara.
The programme, attended by 19 Other Ranks offered training in western and oriental cuisine for 35 days and the certificate-awarding ceremony for course attendees got underway on 25th October 2022 at Thalsevana Army Resort where the Commander, Security Forces-Jaffna graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Brigadier Admin and Quartering, Brigadier Anura Bandara, together with Senior Officers attended the occasion.
