Troops Give Away School Books & Accessories to Students for SFHQ-W Anniversary

Troops of 14(V) Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry following sponsorship given by Mr Jaliya Bodinagoda of the Capital City branch of the Rotary Club and his companions as part of the anniversary events of the Security Force Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ-W) coordinated the distribution of school books and accessories among students at Daluggala Maha Vidyalaya on Friday (19).

Under the guidance of Major General Hemantha Bandara, Commander, Security Forces - Wanni, the event that marked the 23rd anniversary of the SFHQ-W was supervised by Major General Deepal Pussella, General Officer Commanding, 62 Division.

Major General Hemantha Bandara, Commander, Security Forces - Wanni graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, along with sponsors, Attorney at Law, Mr Jaliya Bodinagoda with his Rotary Club companions, Commander, 623 Brigade, 62 Division Colonel General Staff, Civil Affairs Officers of the SFHQ-W, Commanding Officer of the 14(V) SLLI, Officers of the 62 Division and the Principal at Daluggala Maha Vidyalaya participated in the occasion.

Similarly, the same donors joined the distribution of school accessories among the students at A/Gonuhaddenawa Maha Vidyalaya and A/Hemamali Maha Vidyalaya on Thursday (18). Donors, attorney at law Mr Jaliya Bodhinagoda with his companions joined the project.

Commander, 623 Brigade, Brigadier Prabath Kodithuwakku attended those ceremonies as the Chief Guest with the Civil Affairs Officer of the 62 Division, Commanding Officers of the 14 (V) SLLI, 5 (V) GR, Officers of 62 Infantry Division and troops of 14 (V) Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry and 5(V) Gajaba Regiment joined the distribution programmes.
