Troops Coordinate Supply of School Aids to 200 Mullaittivu Students

593 Infantry Brigade and 59 Infantry Brigade troops joined hands with Sri Lanka Army Women's Corps Seva Vanitha Branch (SLAWC-SVB) to distribute packs of school accessories for 200 students studying at Tamil School, Chemmalai and Sinhala School in Kokilai on Tuesday (Feb 28).

This was made possible with the kind patronage offered by the Old Pupils' Association of the University of Sri Jayawardenapura and Colombo Royal College through the coordination of the SLAWC-SVB.

Major General Darshana Wijesekera, Commander, Security Forces - Mullaitivu, and Mrs Shyamali Wijesekera, Chairperson, SLAWC-SVB graced the distributing ceremony with Mr Prasad Lokubalasooriya, representing both Old Pupils' Associations where 200 students received school aid packs, each worth Rs. 3,500.00.

Brigadier Sujeewa Perera, Commander, 591 Infantry Brigade, Colonel Chinthaka Wijenayake, Commander, 593 Infantry Brigade, Senior Officers, Officers, Principals and tutorial staff of both schools were present at the event.
