Several areas that fall within the Security Force Headquarters-East (SFHQ-E) continued their community projects in order to curtail the spread of Dengue epidemic.
9 Gemunu Watch (GW) troops of 233 Brigade, 12 Gajaba Regiment (GR) troops of 231 Brigade, 5 Sri Lanka Artillery (SLA) troops of 224 Brigade during Sept 15-16, carried out these cleaning campaigns in Punani north and east, Kattankudi and coastal areas of Batticoloa, Bharatipuram and Pallikudiyiruppu areas respectively.
More than 100 soldiers of respective units of the SFHQ-E took part in these programmes.
