Troops Back up National Vaccination Drive Holding Vaccination Centres

Sri Lanka Army medical troops are engaged in their vaccination projects across the country as per directions of General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army in an attempt to contribute to the national booster dose vaccination drive by way of conduct of static and mobile vaccination centres.

Through the coordination of government Health Officials, Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps troops, attached to the 14 Division under command to the Security Force HQ-West, 53 Division HQ, Security Force HQ-Jaffna, 11 Division under command to the Security Force HQ-Central and all other Divisions under Security Force HQs across the island are currently busy holding those vaccination projects.

Similarly, Army's sustained support to the ongoing national vaccination drive as per directions of the Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army General Shavendra Silva, the Security Force HQ-Wanni on the guidelines given by Major General Champaka Ranasinghe, Commander, Security Forces-Wanni has launched the vaccination drive covering 6 districts, being served by Wanni Security Forces.

The troops attached to 21, 54, 56, 62 and 65 Divisions under the SFHQ-Wanni are continuing the project, beginning 01st February 2022. 3 Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps and Army Base Hospital - Anuradhapura troops are closely associated with the national drive, focusing on the general public in the Wanni.
