Hundreds of troops serving the 515 Brigade Headquarters, based in Kankasanthurai, threw their full weight behind the uninterrupted conduct of the annual Mavadipuram Skandha Temple in Kankasanthurai by way of cleaning the premises, facilitating the passages to the venue, etc.
The Pooja on Sunday (15) was sponsored purely by devout troops of the Security Forces Headquarters, Jaffna (SFHQ-J).
On the same day, the troops served lunch to all the devotees who attended the day’s Pooja. The festival commenced on June 24 continued until Wednesday (18).
