Troops of the 16 Sri Lanka Singha Regiment (16 SLSR) successfully completed the construction of a new home for a deserving low-income family in Karappakutti on 24 September 2024. The newly constructed house was vested in the beneficiaries by Major General S. Kasturimudali RSP ndc psc, the General Officer Commanding of the 56 Infantry Division.
The initiative was made possible through the financial contributions of Mr. Shantha Dalugamage, Founder of Stichting Mission Lanka from the Netherlands, and Mr. S.J. Samaraweera, an agriculture entrepreneur from Japan.
Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the occasion.
