Training Workshops on Boxing &;amp; Civil Relations Held

Security Forces Headquarters- Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN), intending to enhance general knowledge on social, cultural and personal dimensions of Tamil civilians, organized a workshop for all commanding officers in the area for five days.

Major General Udaya Perera, Commander, SFHQ-KLN attended the final sessions of the workshop which selected the Best Division, Best Brigade, Best Unit and the Best Commanding Officer for award of valuable gifts and certificates.

Meanwhile, SFHQ-KLN launched a programme among youth in the area for training in boxing.

With the sponsorship received from Mass Holdings, a total of 55 girls and boys were recruited to the training programme which aims to promote boxing skills among the young generation in the area. The programme was initiated with the blessings of the SFHQ-KLN and the commanding officer of the 19 Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) serving the area.
