MULLAITTIVU: TROOPS entered the “No Fire Zone” after destroying the LTTE built earth bund with a view to preventing the civilian exodus into cleared areas and it enabled more than five thousand trapped civilians to show up at PUTHUKUDIRIPPU early this morning (20).
As the rescue operation continued piercing the earth bund, Tiger terrorists as usual started firing artillery and mortars from the inside of the “No Fire Zone” towards the fleeing civilians.
