Three Newly-Promoted GR Senior Officers Extended Felicities at Regimental HQ

The Gajaba Regiment at its Saliyapura Regimental HQ recently extended its felicities to three of its most recently promoted Senior Officers, Major General Champika Ranasinghe, General Officer Commanding 23 Division, Major General Sarada Samarakoon, General Officer Commanding 11 Division and Major General Christy Jayasinghe, Deputy Commandant, Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force. The Centre Commandant Brigadier Mahinda Rajapaksha on behalf of the Chief of Defence Staff, Commander of the Army, Colonel of the Regiment of Gajaba Regiment and Special Forces, Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva warmly welcomed the senior officers on their arrival at the Gajaba Regimental Centre.

After paying tribute to the fallen war heroes of the Gajaba Regiment by placing floral wreaths at the monument, all three protagonists were separately awarded formal Guard Turnouts and Guard of Honours salutes in keeping with military formalities were presented.

Bringing the first segment of the day’s proceedings to end, they were invited to refreshments with all ranks afterwards at the Other Ranks’ Mess where the day's invitees had the chance of sharing pleasantries and few thoughts with the gathering.

The day's event culminated with a lunch hosted in honour of all three newly-promoted two star Generals at the officers’ mess with the participation of many senior officers of the Keteriyan family. Best jordan Sneakers | Nike
