Tamil Woman Recruits Complete Nursing Assistant Course


Distribution of certificates to the Tamil woman recruits who successfully completed the Nursing Assistant course, conducted at Kilinochchi Army Base Hospital took place recently during a brief ceremony, held at the hospital premises.

The five-month long course for those 10 Tamil woman soldiers focused on training in first aid, medical fundamentals, surgery, clinical approaches, dispensary, dental care, laboratory management, etc.

Woman Recruit R. Insar (1st place), Woman Recruit P. Sibora (2nd place) and Woman Recruit P. Priscrilla (3rd place) shone prominent in the course and one of them in acknowledgement, praised the Army for imparting this knowledge to them.

Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe, Commander, Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi, Captain K.K.T Ariyatillake, Commanding Officer at Kilinochchi Army Base Hospital, Captain R.S Manawickrema, officer in charge of the course and several others were associated with the award of certificates.
